Company and Vision
Sacred Bundle Consulting was founded with the belief that Indigenous communities hold the knowledge, strength, and vision to guide their own futures. Our role is to walk alongside Nations, offering culturally grounded consulting that blends traditional knowledge, community wisdom, and professional expertise.
The name Sacred Bundle reflects the understanding that each of us carries a bundle, filled with teachings, medicines, tools, and experiences that guide our journey. Some of these come from ancestral traditions, some from the land, and some from western education and practice. All of them are gifts meant to be shared. By opening our bundles with one another, we pass knowledge forward, strengthen connection, and keep our generations strong.
Our vision is to create space where these bundles can be carried together, where cultural practices, community voices, and professional skills meet to shape policies, programs, and strategies that foster wellness, safety, and sovereignty. Through engagement, facilitation, and capacity building, Sacred Bundle Wellness Consulting is committed to supporting Nations in building strong, resilient pathways for today and for the generations yet to come.
Our Logo
Sacred Bundle Consulting is represented by a logo that carries deep cultural meaning. The design features the Sisiutl (double-headed serpent), a powerful Coast Salish being representing protection, transformation, and strength. Above the Sisiutl rests an eagle feather, symbolizing truth, respect, and the responsibility to carry knowledge with integrity. A cedar bough completes the design, representing cleansing, wellness, and cultural protocol.
Together, these symbols reflect the foundation of our work: protection of community, carrying out research and governance work with respect and truth, and grounding every project in cultural wellness.
Meet Our Founder - Alicia Carlow
Alicia Carlow, a dual-heritage woman, on my father’s side I’m Coast Salish from Snuneymuxw through the Fraser and Johnny families, and of settler ancestry through my mother. Carrying both lineages has shaped the way I walk in the world, teaching me the importance of balance, responsibility, and the strength that comes from holding both traditional and western knowledge with care.
I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria, and I bring over a decade of experience supporting Indigenous communities and organizations across British Columbia. My work has carried me into remote and rural places where flexibility, creativity, and cultural grounding are essential.
Throughout my career, I have:
Supported Nations in child and family jurisdiction and Bill C-92 implementation, including Designated Band Representative work.
Developed policies and frameworks in health, wellness, and justice that reflect the voices and strengths of communities.
Designed and facilitated community engagement through sharing circles, surveys, and intergenerational dialogues.
Advanced wellness and harm reduction initiatives, including culturally safe approaches to gender-based violence prevention, overdose response, and cannabis education.
Rooted my facilitation in land-based learning, traditional medicines, and story-gathering, ensuring that cultural practices guide each project.
Through Sacred Bundle Wellness Consulting, I bring these skills and experiences together with a simple belief: Indigenous communities already carry the knowledge, vision, and strength to guide their futures. My role is to walk alongside, listen deeply, and help create the tools and strategies that support each Nation’s unique path toward wellness, safety, and sovereignty.
